Reppin
843 area code, finally, the moment America has been waiting for!
Weighing
in at 145 lbs, spitting slick gangsta rhymes with a touch of pimping;
hailing from the beautiful but dangerous streets of Charleston,
SC is none other than Arties Thrower, Jr. A.K.A. – P.I.M.P. (puttin’
in major pimpin’).
He
is one of the realest and best lyrical M.C.s coming out of the
Chuck. He’s been writing rhymes since he was 10 years old, and
you can tell by his well developed style and word play. His style
of rhyming is so untamed but civilized at the same time, and his
flow is laid back, but very aggressive. His confidence is high
and you can recognize this by his braggadocio attitude; but that’s
what makes a great M.C.
Artie
brings the streets to life in all of his rhymes because he is
from the streets. He claims to have "done it all." Known
throughout the Chuck Town streets as P.I.M.P., he is a well respected
rapper, walking it like he talks it. He claims he should’ve been
signed years ago, but a 5 year bid in prison for the life he lived
slowed him down. Now off a 2 year parole, P.I.M.P. is armed with
sharp, slick, and dangerous rhymes and he is ready to take on
the world.
This
is definitely his year. His management team, Port City Management,
a subsidiary of Port City Productions, owned and operated by his
brother DJ Chuck T and lifelong friend Dirty Harry, guarantees
to have the P.I.M.P. everywhere.
In
just 2 short months he has put together a 4 song album sampler
the streets have been demanding with titles "Ride with Me,"
"He’s Alright but He’s not Real," "This is How
I’m Coming," and "Blackout."
P.I.M.P.
has been featured on several of DJ Chuck T’s mixtapes and on at
least 5 other local artists’ songs. At present he is the hottest
rapper in the Chuck and soon everyone will recognize him when
he obtains national exposure. He is in the process of working
on his album which is expected to be released in the summer of
2004 under Double O Entertainment which he co-owns with life-long
friend Tee-Money.
Artie
says this is going to be the hottest album ever released by a
solo artist from Charleston, SC. He adds that no one has represented
and put out good music from Charleston, "everything I’ve
heard has been trash music." I guess that’s why nobody has
been signed yet, but check me out. "I’m bringing flavor to
the game."
