Grind. Grind’s name came from the streets, the streets say, "I
Bet He Grind." Bettie has been on Power 98 FM 30 to 40 times
for there morning show’s Freestyle Friday segment. Bettie has
also toured with Power 98 FM for the past two years on there "Stop,
Think, and Live" Tour, where he performed in the hoods of
Charlotte, N.C. and surrounding areas.

Grind was also chosen out of 500 acts to be one of 30 to perform
in Forever Loved Entertainment’s (E.A.R.S.) talent showcase. He
went on to make the finals and was a top five selection chosen
in the showcase at Club Babalua in Time Square, NY. The song Bettie
performed was also chosen by E.A.R.S. to be placed on their compilation
album, which they released in November of last year, and requested
him to come back to NY and perform it at Club Shyne at there album
release party.

Grind was quoted as being "HOT" with no other words
needed by Power 98 radio personality "Fly Ty." "Fly
Ty" requested Bettie to release his single to Charlotte’s
#1 radio station to be worked into rotation. Bettie Grind was
quoted by Power 98’s D.J. Live as "having the charismatic
style of rap mogul Jay-Z, but with the lyrical energy of rap mogul
Ludacris." Bettie has also been asked by Medici, "Da
Street Captain," of Hot 92.7 to release his "TEAR DA
CLUB UP" single titled, "BLACK OUT." This is off
of his debut album titled, "Contact." This song has
been getting rave reviews and mix show spins from D.J. Mr. Incognito
of Power 98. The song "BLACK OUT" was also given the
first and only 100% rating on "The Next Big Thing",
a special feature on "The Breakfast Bros. Morning Show"
of Power 98 FM. This feature is for local artist to get there
record into rotation by allowing the listeners, radio personalities
and Program Director the ability to vote the song into rotation.
Mr. Incognito also has been using the single as a promo on his
show everyday from 6pm until 10pm. Program Director, Teri Avery
and Music Director, Deon Coles of Power 98 started the scheduling
of the song to go into rotation in Nov. of 2004.
Bettie
Grind’s next steps are seeking artist, production, or management
deals with his company, Carolina Bread Records, and continuing
to push his single "BLACK OUT" and his album "Contact."
