For
more than 10 years, DJ Barry Bee has proven that he has more than
what it takes to get the party crunk. His accomplishments show
how a turntable genius precisely puts together different songs
for the clubs and the streets. DJ Barry Bee feels that he is a
taste maker. He will suggest what's hot and everyone tags along.
A
native of New Bern, North Carolina, 30 years old, Barry Bee became
fascinated with the artistry of hip-hop back in 1989. Barry has
always had a love for music. He grew up watching and listening
to other dj's in his neighborhood, which inspired him to follow
his dreams of becoming a DJ. All it took was a pair of used 1200
Technique Turntables, two copies of Chics "Good Times" and the
heart to get started. Years later Barry Bee is on the rise.
DJ
Barry Bee broke ground by releasing his first tape in 1990, titled
Deadly Blends # 12. The tape took North Carolina by storm.
This tape was distributed in cities throughout North Carolina.
His name began to grow as fast as his record collection, mainly
because he included what no one else could on his tape, unreleased
material and live freestyles. Barry Bee gave the people a tape
as diverse as a multicultural classroom. There are many mixtapes
in the music industry and then there are Barry Bee's mixtapes
and the difference is always apparent. Barry Bee has put together
nearly 100 mixtapes within seven years independently.
In
the past 5 years, DJ Barry Bee has earned 1st place in the Battle
of the DJ's hosted by Fat Man Scoop, he has been considered the
#1 DJ for the Drop Squad at Kiss 102 Radio Station in New Bern,
North Carolina and has had the privilege of working with many
celebrities, including Jadakiss, Diplomats, Jacki O, Mike Jones,
and Brooke Valentine just to name a few.
Other
than the mixtapes and radio, Barry Bee is one of the hottest club
dj's. He dominates the club scene everywhere he goes. He knows
what hot and people are always feeling what he's feeling.
